The Power Behind It
Here’s the thing: this unit is all about packing a lot of heat into a small spot. We set it up to run on 400V, so you can wire it straight into a standard industrial supply. No messing around with stacking a bunch of low-voltage units. The 2500W output is concentrated in a 300mm tube, so you get intense, directional heat right where you need it—not wasted warmth floating around the room. That power density is what dries walls and mirrors quickly after a shower. But, and this is important, it also means the fixture and wiring around it have to be built to handle that kind of continuous high heat.
What It’s Made Of
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave infrared halogen lamp, tucked inside a quartz envelope. Quartz is tough—it handles sudden temperature changes and keeps the output steady, even when you’re cycling the unit on and off. The lamp is coated to shape the heat spectrum, pushing energy into the infrared band that warms surfaces directly, instead of just heating the air. For installation, we went with an R7s connector. It’s a simple, drop-in fit into compatible fixtures. That keeps the footprint small and makes the wiring straightforward when you’re on the job.
How It Works for You
